Completion requirement

In addition to Faculty of Graduate Studies requirements, the Faculty of Science requires students to complete 12 units of coursework.

Students must register in the following four courses:

Students must seek approval from the Academic Coordinator to withdraw from, or drop, courses.

Completion requirement

Advanced Credit

Advanced credit will not normally be given for the Data Privacy Graduate Certificate program.


Flexible Grade Option (CG Grade)

The Information Security Professional Program will allow students to pursue the Flexible Grade Option (CG Grade).

The use of the CG grade will not affect students' eligibility for internal awards.


Credit for Undergraduate Courses

For this Graduate Certificate program, credit will not normally be granted for undergraduate courses.


Time Limits

The expected completion time for the Graduate Certificate in Data Privacy is four months. The maximum completion time for the Certificate is two years from the start of the program .

Part-time registration can delay program progression and completion as not all courses are offered in each semester.

Completion requirement

The program itself does not provide scholarships, however financial assistance may be available to qualified students through alternative means. For information on awards, see the Awards and Financial Assistance section.
